About the Designer

Liza Sert is the French-Armenian designer behind Batchig Jewelry.

Armenian love words have always had a special place in Liza’s heart. As a little girl, her family would use them to express their love for her — the same words you can find on her designs today. When she became a wife and a mother, Liza used the same terms of endearment to her loved ones.

Having been raised in Paris, France; moving to Hong Kong, China for 13 years with her husband; and now living in Los Angeles, California with him and their two kids, Liza has a diverse background that gives her a unique perspective and discerning eye. Studying and working in the fashion capital of the world, Paris, for 24 years, it’s no surprise that Liza developed an affinity for “Haute Joaillerie” or high-end jewelry. Her husband Harout, also a jeweler, has done his part in exposing her to a world of glitz and gold, too. Combining both her strong cultures — Armenian and French — Batchig captures Liza’s imagination and view of the world — it’s filled with endless love, joy, and compassion.

About the Brand

The words of endearment are like art for one's ears, and the creation of this jewelry line is a way to spread love. "Batchig" literally translates as "kiss" in Armenian, the native language of the designer. The designs of the brand aren’t only restricted to Armenian; to convey her international spirit, the designer also works with love words in English, French, and Mandarin.

Batchig Jewelry is a form of great admiration toward linguistic interpretation of dearest feelings and the most tender emotions.

The jewelry line has been created for sophisticated, bold and smart women ready to add a personal touch to their jewelry collection.
